Designed specifically to meet the needs
of consumers who are first time homebuyers,
our homebuyer education program can enable
clients with information necessary to make
an informed home-buying decision. It teaches
the fundamental steps of buying a home and
explains the reasons behind the decisions
that are made throughout the home buying
process. Our counseling staff understands
the trends of local, regional, and national
housing. This market-based knowledge puts
our housing clients ahead of other consumers
and provides a significant benefit in the
housing counseling field.
The CU Mortgage Counselor will teach
clients about the significance of
neighborhood and public school
participation, home repair and preventative
maintenance, the obligations and
responsibilities of the homeowner, the “dos
and don’ts” of refinancing, avoiding loan
delinquency and foreclosure, and the
importance of effectively communicating with
lenders.
